HOBBS & ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO
Hormone Therapy for Women and Men in Hobbs and Albuquerque, NM
Hormones regulate more of your daily experience than most people realize — your energy, sleep, mood, body composition, mental clarity, libido, and resilience to stress. When that system falls out of balance, the effects show up everywhere. At Younique Medical Spa, we provide hormone therapy for both women and men at both our Hobbs and Albuquerque locations, guided by comprehensive lab work and monitored over time.
Our providers work from your bloodwork, your symptoms, and your health goals — not a standard protocol. Treatment is adjusted as your levels shift and your body responds.
Hormone therapy at Younique Medical Spa is supervised by licensed, credentialed providers. All treatment is guided by comprehensive lab work. Available at both our Hobbs and Albuquerque locations.

FOR WOMEN
What Is Actually Happening in Your Body When Hormones Decline
In women, the most significant hormonal transition is menopause, which typically occurs between ages 45 and 55. Estrogen and progesterone levels fluctuate unpredictably during perimenopause before eventually settling well below their premenopausal baseline. The symptoms that accompany this shift — hot flashes, night sweats, disrupted sleep, mood instability, cognitive changes, vaginal dryness, and shifts in libido — are not imaginary, and they are not inevitable.
The North American Menopause Society identifies hormone therapy as the most effective available treatment for vasomotor symptoms and a clinically supported approach for osteoporosis prevention in younger postmenopausal women. For women experiencing perimenopause, menopause, or post-surgical hormone loss, a structured, monitored hormone therapy plan can restore meaningful quality of life.
01
Injections
Hormone injections deliver a controlled dose intramuscularly or subcutaneously on a defined schedule. Levels can be monitored precisely and dosing adjusted at each follow-up. A practical option for patients who want consistent, measurable dosing and straightforward monitoring.
02
Pellets
Hormone pellets are small, bioidentical implants placed under the skin, typically in the hip area, that dissolve gradually over three to six months. They deliver a steady release of hormones without daily administration. Many patients prefer pellets for their convenience and the consistency of delivery.
03
Creams, ODT & Troches
Bioidentical hormone creams are applied topically and absorbed through the skin. Orally dissolving tablets (ODT) and troches dissolve under the tongue or in the cheek. These methods offer flexibility in dosing and are well-suited for patients who prefer to avoid injections or implants.

BIOIDENTICAL HORMONES
What We Prescribe and How We Monitor You
The hormones we prescribe are bioidentical — meaning they are chemically identical to the hormones your body produces naturally. Bioidentical hormones are derived from plant sources and are compounded or commercially produced to match your body’s own molecular structure. This is different from synthetic hormones, which are structurally modified versions of natural hormones.
After starting therapy, your provider will typically order follow-up labs at four to eight weeks to assess your initial response and make any necessary adjustments. From there, monitoring frequency is determined by how stable your levels are and how well you are tolerating the current protocol. Most patients settle into a routine of quarterly or biannual lab reviews once their levels are optimized.

WHO BENEFITS FROM HRT
Are You a Good Candidate for Hormone Therapy?
If you have been experiencing fatigue that does not improve with rest, mood changes that feel disproportionate to your circumstances, changes in body composition that are not responding to diet and exercise, disrupted sleep, or a loss of interest in things that used to motivate you — your hormones may be a contributing factor.
Hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone, and we take the candidacy conversation seriously. Patients with certain hormone-sensitive cancers or other specific contraindications may not be suitable candidates. Your provider will review your health history and lab work carefully before recommending any protocol.
HORMONES & WEIGHT LOSS
The Connection Most Providers Miss
Hormonal imbalance is a common contributor to stubborn weight gain, particularly in the midsection. When estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone levels are low, the body tends to store fat more readily — especially visceral fat — and muscle mass becomes harder to maintain, which further slows metabolism.
For patients dealing with weight concerns alongside hormonal symptoms, we often address both simultaneously. Our medical weight loss program using GLP-1 medications and our hormone therapy services complement each other, and your provider can build a plan that addresses both sides of the equation.
