WHAT TO EXPECT
Your Appointment, Start to Finish
Your first visit is mostly conversation. We go over your history, look closely at your face, and agree on a plan before any product comes out. The injections themselves are quick, and most fillers contain a numbing agent that keeps the process comfortable. We can add a topical numbing cream beforehand if you would prefer.
You will see a change immediately, which is part of what makes filler so satisfying. Expect some swelling and the odd bruise for a few days, especially around the lips and eyes, and expect your face to look its best at about the two-week mark once everything has settled. We ask patients to wait those two weeks before judging the result or booking a touch-up, because an area that looks slightly off on day three has usually settled beautifully by day fourteen.
How Long It Lasts
Longevity depends on the product and the area. Lip filler moves constantly and tends to fade sooner, while a treated cheek or chin can hold for well over a year. Collagen-stimulating products last longer still. Because nothing here is permanent, you stay in control of how your face ages and can adjust the plan whenever your priorities shift.
