CO2 laser resurfacing is the most intensive skin treatment we offer, and properly prepared skin produces significantly better outcomes with fewer complications. We require all patients to be on a medical-grade skincare regimen for a minimum of 30 days before their CO2 treatment. This is a clinical requirement based on how the skin responds to ablative energy.

Medical-grade products containing active ingredients like retinoids, vitamin C, and targeted antioxidants condition the skin at a cellular level, improving its baseline health, accelerating cell turnover, and strengthening the dermal matrix before it is asked to undergo the stress of laser ablation and the subsequent healing process. Skin that has been properly prepared tolerates the procedure better, heals faster, produces more even results, and carries a lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
